Parents Only Meeting for Walton Mens Golf Team

Attention Parents:

Coach Davidson will hold a PARENT ONLY meeting this Wednesday @ 6:30 pm in the Walton field house.

At this time, yard signs will be distributed, shirt sizes will be taken, and Coach Davidson will talk about the Walton Men’s Golf Program.

Kim Yowell, team treasurer, will also be collecting the season dues which will be $450 per player. Please make your check out to “Friends of Walton Golf”

Tryout Schedule for Seniors

Several seniors trying out for the 2012 Walton Men’s Golf Team have a “minimum day” during their last semester before graduation. This schedule enables us to possibly schedule EARLIER tryout times for these students. We are working with Indian Hills to facilitate the process. If you have a senior, please have him keep in touch with Coach Davidson regarding the schedule.

2012 Team Tryout Information

Walton Raider Golf Team tryouts are scheduled to begin the week of Monday January 30th, Monday through Friday.

Coach Davidson will be scheduling the tee times in groups of three each day (9 holes): 3:52 4:00 4:08 NO CARTS ALLOWED

Once again, members of Indian Hills will be volunteering their time to assist in marshaling the tryouts. Thank you ICC!

Please see Coach Davidson if you do NOT have a current physical form on file with Walton High School.

Though the weather has been warm during the past several weeks, layered clothing is encouraged!

It is mandatory that all Walton students have ON FILE with the school a completed physical form before participating in Spring sports. Please see Coach Davidson for a copy of this pink form if you are planning on trying out for the Walton Mens Golf Team!

2012 Meeting for Interested Raider Men Golfers

Coach Davidson has announced a preliminary meeting for all Raider Men interested in playing on the 2012 golf team.

The meeting will be held just after school, during WEB, on Wednesday the 18^th of January. The meeting will be in the Gym.

Everyone interested in playing should plan to get their physical immediately – they will need the physical prior to the start of tryouts.

All information about tryouts will be provided at the meeting.

Fall Tournaments

My son Matthew Flynn will be playing in various tournaments this Fall in the area, and I will keep the team updated via the blog. Hopefully we will have multiple team members at the different events, and we can share rides.

The first tournament Matthew is playing in is a two day Atlanta JGA event at Royal Lakes on September 10 and 11. Please let me know if your son is playing in this or other upcoming tournaments.
